Michael Matvieshen – Types of Renewable Energy

Michael Matvieshen has worked in technology development, and, more specifically, energy production and renewable energy, for the majority of his career, which has spanned over two decades. He is currently the CEO of Sunlogic, and has also worked with SunVault and Aboriginal Power Corporation. With a global energy crisis looming, it is becoming more and more crucial to switch to renewable energy. Here are some of the most popular forms of renewable energy.

Michael Matvieshen

Solar power is one of the most popular forms of renewable energy because when used efficiently, it can power large areas and is easy to collect. Many businesses and homeowners are now choosing to add solar panels to their buildings to power them. Wind power is another popular form of renewable energy, especially in the western parts of Canada and the United States where wind speeds get very high and there are large amounts of open space in which to collect it. However, wind power is more difficult to collect that solar power.

Hydroelectric power is another common form of renewable energy. Hydroelectric power is created when moving water (i.e. from rivers or waterfalls) is put into a turbine and the motion creates energy. This form of power is not used as often as wind and solar power are, but has potential to be used more often in the future, and could even be created through artificial bodies of water. While Michael Matvieshen specializes mainly in solar power, he is passionate about the environment in general, and is enthusiastic about increasing the use of renewable energy everywhere.

Michael Matvieshen – How Solar Energy is Changing Technology Development

Michael Matvieshen is the CEO of Sunlogics Power, a noted renewable energy company that designs, finances, and implements solar energy systems in North America. They are most well-known for their work with General Motors, where they planned and installed solar energy systems in GM facilities worldwide. Matvieshen has been working in the solar energy industry for almost a decade, and he has seen firsthand how solar energy is opening up new possibilities for technology development.

Many large companies are now switching to solar energy to power their offices and vehicles, and the United States military has even gotten on board with solar powered military bases as well as the use of solar power while on deployment through portable solar batteries. Solar power is also changing the way that people power their vehicles. There are now solar powered cars and boats, and now even a solar powered plane called the Solar Impulse. It has solar panels on the wings to collect sunlight as it flies, and it can catch a very concentrated amount of the sun’s energy by flying at a high altitude.

Scientists and engineers are also working hard every day to develop new solar solutions that can reduce humanity’s negative impact on the environment. One amazing project that is still in development is the solar roadway. These roads would be made up of solar panels that could generate enough electricity to power large areas around them, making it easier for people to use green energy without installing their own solar panels. While this idea is still a long way from being implemented, it has a lot of potential. As a professional in the solar energy industry, Michael Matvieshen is excited about new technological developments in this field.

Michael Matvieshen – Solar Power in Canada

Michael Matvieshen is the CEO of Sunlogics Power and founder of SunVault Energy, which is a renewable energy distributor based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Matvieshen also works for the Aboriginal Power Company, which is also based out of Edmonton. Many people know about the use of solar power in the Western United States, because it is very popular in places like California, Nevada, and Colorado. However, they may not be aware that there are many places in Canada that make good candidates for solar energy generation as well. Matvieshen is working to brings solar and other types of renewable energy to Canadians.

Michael Matvieshen

The best locales in Canada for solar energy generation and production are British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Quebec. These areas tend to get the most sunlight out of anywhere in Canada due to their weather. They are also the territories that are the furthest south in Canada, so they receive more direct sunlight each day then the territories that are further north. Canada has been using solar power for space heating and water heating for well over a decade, and is now starting to get into using solar panels for electricity generation and appliance power. Until 2010, the Sarnia Photovoltaic Power Plant in Ontario was actually the largest solar farm in the world. There are many other solar farms in Ontario and other parts of Canada, and Ontario is actually projected to reach 2,650 megawatts of solar power by the end of the year 2015. Many solar projects in Canada as well as the United States are handled by Michael Matvieshen and his employees, who focus on bringing solar energy to businesses and homeowners throughout the region.

Michael Matvieshen – Little Ways to Use Solar Energy in Everyday Life

Michael Matvieshen has had a long career in renewable energy technology and distribution, and has been the CEO of companies such as SunVault and DayStar and is currently the head of Sunlogics Power. Many people are intimidated by the idea of using solar energy, because they think that the only way to use it is to install solar panels on their house, which is a huge investment. However, there are many little ways to use solar energy in our daily lives that are easy to access and set up.

One of the simplest ways to use solar energy in day-to-day life is to purchase a phone or computer charger that is solar-powered. There are many of these on the market now, and they collect the sun’s energy by sitting outside or in a window and use it to charge your electronics’ batteries. Not only is this a very eco-friendly way to charge your devices, but it also frees up some precious outlet space. Another way to use solar energy is to get a larger solar battery and use it to power your appliances, or take it with you on trips. These types of batteries are usually marketed towards outdoor enthusiasts, but they can really be used for a huge variety of things. Having a solar battery around can also be a huge lifesaver in an emergency, because they can power all of your essentials even if you lose power. Michael Matvieshen is a huge advocate for using solar power in many different ways.

How to Prevent Negative Effect of Automobiles on the Environment

If you are one of those individuals who wants to help prevent the environment from spiraling into a toxic nightmare, there are several different ways you can aid environmentalism, even if you don’t think so. Being environmentally conscious is something that simply requires a little time and knowledge. Just by contributing a little every day you can help make the environment a better place and preserve it for the future. One way that everybody can help is by taking better care of their automobiles. One of the most obvious ways to help the environment is to get a hybrid or an electric car, these clean emission vehicles are not only more efficient and save you a ton of money, but they also do not release harmful chemical compounds that erode at the Earth’s ozone layer. Unfortunately, electric and hybrid cars are still quite expensive, so it is understandable that many cannot yet afford them. Do not worry, there is still many ways you can aid the environment. One way is to make sure that when your car gets an oil change that the oil is always properly disposed of in approved containers by your local landfill. If you don’t properly dispose of the oil you risk poisoning the land that it is released on.

Michael Matvieshen

Another great way to do your part for the environment is to get regular check-ups on the emission systems in your car. There is something called a catalytic converter, that changes harmful emissions into hydrogen and carbon. This is great, except that converters often deteriorate and perform poorly after a while. That is why it is important to always get it routinely checked on.

Simplifying Solar Panels is the Key to Unlocking Solar Power

Solar power has recently become one of the biggest names in sustainable energy sources for the future of mankind. The reason is because it is one of the cleanest, most environmentally friendly and sustainable sources of potential energy that we are currently aware of. After all, so long as the sun is shining, everyone has free and easily accessible energy. That is why many often are confused as to why solar power has not already become the main source of energy in nations like America. Well, the fact of the matter is that this process of converting solar energy into electricity is very complex and difficult, more than most people think or truly understand. That is why many different private and government facilities are doing research and developing more effective and efficient ways to simplify the process, reducing cost while raising effectiveness. Though this has proved problematic in the past, many new methods for solar storage and conversion have made promising leaps that have increased energy output by as much as ten times. While this is impressive, certain issues still exist such as the ability to store this energy, as well as all of the heat diffusion and electronic issues that arise when trying to keep solar energy around.

Michael Matvieshen

The next step in the fight for solar energy is to simplify the process in which it is harvested and stored, something that has become a kind of holy grail for everyone working in that industry. Corporations have been investing millions in the pursuit of more effective solar methods that will be sustainable for the future.

Why Fossil Fuel is Obsolete

For a significant portion of our history, ever since its discovery, man has been utilizing fossil fuels to do amazing things. Fossil fuels have allowed us to easily transport ourselves with record speeds across land, traversing spans that previously took months to do by ox and cart. With the modern invention of the car, as well as the fuel of gasoline to power it, man’s reach has been furthered substantially. This fact becomes even more apparent when you look to the sky. Fossil fuels have propelled us across our own blue skies and beyond, making possible some of the fastest travel imaginable across entire oceans and continents. This has all been made possible by fossil fuel. Fossil fuel has even aided us in leaving our own planet’s orbit and exploring the stars beyond. The point that I am trying to make is that fossil fuel is certainly a valuable and powerful commodity with many practical uses. The inherent problem with fossil fuel however, is that it simply takes too long to form. Fossil fuels are the result of millions of years of slow decomposition until it becomes a rich and volatile deposit of fuel. This is a problem because the process is far too slow for humanities consumption rate of the very useful resource. Not only that, but fossil fuel tends to burn very dirty, releasing harmful and abrasive chemical compounds into our atmosphere that tear apart and thin the ozone layer.
